Stand Still: A Gallery Comic
What does it take for you to view a comic book as art? This is the question I am asking in my thesis exhibition Stand Still: A Gallery Comic.
The pages of my comic book, Stand Still, are displayed on the walls of the gallery in sequential order allowing the viewer to literally walk through the story. The pages are created in various sizes and mediums, from the smaller traditional printed comic book page to large 6 foot by 4 foot multi-paneled oil paintings on plywood. Scott turns the story itself into an environment giving the viewer the opportunity to see the comic book in a different light.
Stand Still: A Gallery Comic, by Jeremy Scott, runs from October 10th to the 17th. The opening reception will be held at 7pm on Friday, October 12th at the Glen P. Sutherland Gallery of Art.
This exhibition features mature subject matter and may not be suitable for all ages.

What ever happened with the damaged painting? Did you have to redo it for the show or just scrap it altogether?
Well, it wasn't for my show...it was one I was trying to sell though. I just retouched it and it's pretty much fixed.
Oh ok... well, I'm glad that worked out. ANd if it didn't, there was enough people at the conclave willing to kill for a six pack. ;)
I still may take them up on that. Fuckers need to be taught a lesson.
