The Set-up

Here's some shots of the set-up process. It was a good night. Hang art. Drink beer. Then head downstairs to the studio and do a mural on the wall of my space. I'll post a few pics of that over at the other blog. We were down there until 7am. Good times were definitely had.The tar paper turned out to look better than expected.

Brody in motion.

My buddy Matt is a Media Production student so he is filming this stuff for a project he has. Film a piece on somebody in the community or something...I guess most people go for one of those inspirational things about somebody that has overcome adversity or some other such fluff...Instead you get a bunch of drunk artists hanging a show about comic books.

This is what happens when they see the picture coming.

The sneak attack picture works much better.

See what I mean?

A meeting of the minds.

Brody, Cory, and me after everything was up.

I think we finished getting everything up at about 1am. So there are about 6 more hours of art and beer that took place from this point. I have surprisingly few pictures though. I'll have to see if anybody else took any.

It's a fucking gorgeous set up you've got going on there. Love the tar paper that runs through the entire room. Brilliant move. I wish I could attend and see this in person, it's really beautiful... and a comic in a gallery? Man... that's awesome!

Have a great time!

Thanks man.

The tar paper worked out so much better than I expected...and at under $20 per 400sq/ft roll I can only wonder why I haven't been using the stuff more often.

I'm looking forward to the opening on Friday night...it should be fun.
